1. Welcome
Welcome to the 28th issue of the EXCELLERAT newsletter!
As summer begins, we’re reflecting on a busy and successful season of outreach and collaboration.
In recent months, EXCELLERAT P2 was well-represented at key events such as the Automotive Testing Expo 2025, the Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting (ASHPC25), and ISC High Performance 2025. These gatherings gave us valuable opportunities to showcase our Service Portal, highlight our technical developments, and engage with the broader HPC and engineering communities.
At the same time, our team is currently focused on preparing for the important month 30 review, reporting tasks, and ongoing technical developments. We also held a productive All-Hands Meeting in Ljubljana, where we coordinated efforts and looked ahead to the next project phase.
Thank you for following our journey. We hope you enjoy the latest updates and upcoming opportunities to engage with the EXCELLERAT community.

3. Podcast: HPC & AI for Industry
In the thirteenth episode of the HPC Podcast powered by EXCELLERAT, we welcome back Dr. Guy Lonsdale, CEO of scapos and one of the leading figures behind the Fortissimo projects. A year after our first conversation, Guy returns to discuss the progress of the FFplus project, the challenges and opportunities for SMEs adopting High-Performance Computing (HPC), and the new synergies emerging with AI Factories and National Competence Centres (NCCs).
This is especially relevant now, since the latest FFplus call for proposals for business experiments has just recently opened. Apply by August 26th, 2025.
