EXCELLERAT CoE Featured at SLING Days 2025
Slovenia’s flagship event in high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence once again proved its importance as a central platform for fostering collaboration among researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers. Organised by the national competence centre NCC SLING, together with leading research institutions and European initiatives, the SLING Days 2025 showcased the growing impact of advanced technologies on research, innovation, and industrial competitiveness. The event took place from 19-21 November in Ljubljana, Slovenia and in hybrid form, bringing together more than 700 visitors.
Driving a Stronger European HPC Ecosystem
The event opened with a strategic meeting bringing together representatives from national HPC competence centres (NCCs), the European Centres of Excellence EXCELLERAT P2 and PEPSC, as well as the European AI Factories. Representatives from multiple countries exchanged insights on shared technological challenges and future plans aimed at reinforcing the European HPC-AI landscape.
The message of the day was clear: strengthening international cooperation is essential for enabling a broad community of users, ranging from academic researchers to start-ups and established companies, to access cutting-edge supercomputing resources and develop next-generation, AI-powered innovations.
